InterMundial Foundation and Fitur announce a new edition of the Responsible Tourism Award
The InterMundial Foundation, in collaboration with Fitur, is launching the 6th edition of the Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Award, an accolade that recognizes the commitment of tourism companies working toward the development and promotion of tourism that is responsible toward the environment, the economy, and the local community.
The award, which held its first edition in 2017, is open to all companies exhibiting at Fitur 2023 that have worked in favor of responsible tourism over the last two years, whether by implementing specific operational policies and measures or through customer-facing initiatives.
Companies interested in participating must submit their applications by December 28th to the email address comunicacion@intermundial.es and complete the registration form available on the InterMundial Foundation website.
As in previous years, the Responsible Tourism Award features different categories based on the participants' specific sectors.
The award is divided into four categories:
• Hospitality (accommodation, dining, and related services)
• Transport, tourism products, and services (means of transport,
airports, incentives and congresses, tour operators, agencies, leisure, health)
• Tourism destinations
• Social Media (blogosphere and influencers)
• Media outlets
The awards ceremony will take place during Fitur 2023, which will be held at Ifema from January 18th to 22nd.
This award reinforces the InterMundial Foundation's commitment to promoting authentic sustainable tourism that contributes to responsible development within the tourism industry, both socioeconomically and environmentally.
