Registration is now open for the 3rd Hotel CSR Awards

- Fundación InterMundial Seguros announces the third edition of the Award, which will feature 3 different categories this year
- All hotels that have implemented Corporate Social Responsibility policies in the last two years are eligible to apply

Fundación InterMundial Seguros opens the registration period for the 3rd edition of the Hotel CSR Award. The award will be presented during the Spanish Hoteliers Congress of the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT), held in Salamanca from November 16th to 18th. This year, it introduces the new feature of participating in 3 different categories.

The Hotel CSR Award is an initiative by Fundación InterMundial Seguros, in partnership with Tourism&Law and the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT). It was established in 2012 to recognize the efforts made by Spanish hotels in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.

The award is held every two years, coinciding with the Spanish Hoteliers Congress of the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT), which will take place this year in Salamanca from November 16th to 18th. In its third edition, the goal is to highlight the commitment of hotel establishments to the environment, society, and the sustainable growth of the business. For this reason, three distinct categories have been introduced, corresponding to the three areas of Corporate Social Responsibility: environmental, social, and economic.

“During these years of recovery for the tourism sector, this award serves as recognition of sustainable and responsible business management,” explains Manuel López, trustee of Fundación InterMundial Seguros. “Tourism is a sector where commitment to the environment should be almost a requirement, and it is important to highlight those companies that take this commitment to levels of excellence.”

All hotels that have implemented socially responsible policies in the last two years and are members of a federation or association belonging to CEHAT are eligible to apply for the award. Applications must be submitted online via the form on the award website: premiorschoteles.com/.

The registration period begins this Tuesday, September 6th, and ends on Sunday, October 23rd, 2016.
