InterMundial awarded on World Insurance Day
- Receives the 2019 Galicia Segura award in the Mediation category
Madrid, May 15, 2019. InterMundial, a leader in travel and sports insurance, has been recognized with the Galicia Segura award, granted annually by the Atlantic Insurance Institute Foundation. The award, considered one of the most prestigious in the national insurance sector, honors the professional values of organizations, companies, or institutions dedicated to insurance and risk management in Spain.
This award highlights InterMundial's work throughout its 25-year history and recognizes its significant and innovative contribution to the development of insurance mediation. Manuel López, CEO of InterMundial, accepted the award at a ceremony held for the first time at the Pazo de Fonseca in Santiago de Compostela, which takes place as part of the commemorative events for World Insurance Day.
In the words of Manuel López himself, “This recognition is an honor for us and serves as a great stimulus to continue growing and striving to offer the most complete protection to our policyholders on their travels. Furthermore, receiving the award in such an important year for us, our 25th anniversary, makes it even more special.”
In addition to InterMundial, the jury, chaired by the president of Unespa and vice president of the CEOE, Pilar González de Frutos, and composed of prominent figures from the academic, business, and public sectors, also awarded SantaLucía, the Spanish Environmental Risks Pool and Jean-Paul Rignault, former CEO of AXA.
The official ceremony was presided over by the Rector of the USC, Antonio López, joined at the head table by the Regional Minister of Finance of the Xunta de Galicia, Valeriano Martínez; the President of UNESPA, Pilar González de Frutos; the Chairman of the Board of the Inade Foundation, Antón Cobián; and the Director of the Inade Foundation, Adolfo Campos.
