InterMundial increases medical expense coverage limits on its travel insurance policies to 1 million euros

InterMundial, a broker specializing in travel and sports insurance, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year since its founding in 1994. To celebrate, the company will carry out a series of activations and special benefits throughout the year, including the announcement of a historic increase in medical expense limits for its most popular insurance policies. In this way, InterMundial responds to new regulations while reinforcing its commitment to protecting both travel agencies and the end traveler, who will have more peace of mind than ever during their trips.

The expansion, which will take effect starting February 1st, will be included, along with other new features in InterMundial's products, in the new edition of the Pack Plusinsurance catalog, the first copies of which will be distributed during the International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR.

This significant increase in medical expenses was created with the goal of, in the words of Arturo Moreno, Technical Director of InterMundial, “thanking travel agents for the trust placed in InterMundial over these 25 years by providing them with a complete catalog of products with unique guarantees, the highest limits on the market, and the ability to cover the needs of all their travelers. We are thus responding to the growing demand we see from our agencies and policyholders for greater coverage that keeps them especially protected in more challenging destinations.”

Up to 1 million euros in medical expenses

InterMundial's most premium insurance, Multiasistencia Élite, which includes the option to cancel the trip for any reason and offers agents a high-value tool for their clients, increases its medical expense limits to the figure of one million euros for the World coverage tier. For travel within Europe, travelers are covered up to 500,000 euros, and up to 100,000 euros for domestic travel.

Additionally, medical expense coverage limits have been increased for travelers who purchase the Multiasistencia Plusinsurance. As a result, both the cancellation and non-cancellation versions of this product now offer ten times the previous coverage, providing up to one million euros in protection for the World tier, 500,000 euros for Europe, and 100,000 euros for trips within Spain.
