Tourism&Law, the unique law firm specializing in the needs and challenges of tourism companies, has held its third edition of Law & Friends, its annual gathering for tourism professionals. During the event, which took place at the Gran Hotel Inglés in Madrid, the firm's clients and industry professionals met to take stock of a year full of challenges for the tourism sector.
The date chosen for the celebration was no coincidence; T&L wanted to embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving, with its own special "Friendsgiving," to thank the industry for not throwing in the towel in the face of the difficulties they have had to face this past year.
Manuel López, CEO of Grupo InterMundial, opened the event by welcoming the attendees and thanking them for their continued trust following the 2020 hiatus due to the health emergency.
María Paz Abad, Director of Tourism & Law, emphasized the importance of the solidarity shown by most companies over these last few months of uncertainty. The word "Thank you" was the centerpiece of her speech—a recognition and expression of gratitude to the small, medium, and large companies in the sector for working so hard during these months. Furthermore, she did not hesitate to highlight the high level of commitment from her team and the great work they have done despite the obstacles they have faced throughout this past year.
On the other hand, María Paz looked toward the future, convinced that as long as the sector remains united, it will be able to face any challenges that arise and return to a pre-pandemic situation.
