InterMundial provides the Health Plan for new cruise ship requirements

Starting June 7, international cruise ships will be allowed to dock in Spain again. To do so, cruise passenger vessels must comply with a series of health measures and requirements published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) in the Resolution of May 27, 2021, from the Directorate General of the Merchant Navy.

Health measures plan

The Royal Decree requires international cruise ships to have a comprehensive plan for the prevention and mitigation of potential health risks derived from COVID-19, meaning operators must now protect themselves before the cruise begins. • Coverage for accommodation and any necessary transfers, including those from the ship to the medical center or contracted facility, from the accommodation or hospital to the ship, from the ship to the airport, and air transfers.
• Repatriation of sick travelers and/or deceased persons, as well as any necessary crew changes.
