The Intermundial app now enables push notifications for flight changes

Intermundial has updated its traveler app with the launch of flight alerts via push notifications. With this new feature, travelers will be instantly informed of any changes to their flight status, even while at the airport and about to board.
Whether it is a change in flight schedule or a cancellation, travelers will automatically receive a push notification through the Intermundial app. While waiting to board, they can check for new notifications and easily see if there have been any changes to their boarding gate or departure and arrival terminals. To receive these push alerts, the user simply needs to have registered their flight in advance in the 'Trips' transport section within their profile.
This functionality joins the existing flight status inquiry feature, which continues to be offered on the app's main interface and displays the status of the flight the user proactively checks.
Until now, app notifications were linked to operational or service-related features. Travelers receive push alerts when their insurance is due for renewal, as well as coverage start and end notifications. They also receive communications regarding claims and service satisfaction surveys.
Flight alerts are now added to all these categories, offering travelers significant benefits such as greater convenience, immediate updates, the avoidance of unpleasant surprises, and savings in time and hassle.
“Implementing push notifications for flight alerts is a truly interesting and useful feature for travelers, reducing the stress they often experience at airports while constantly watching the PA system and information screens. It is undoubtedly an innovation that improves the customer's travel experience,” says Adrián Cortés, CIO of Intermundial.
